Project Name: Rocky Creek Bridge Replacement, Urban Utilities Water Relocation Works.
Industry:Civil Construction

QCE was contracted by TMR to complete the Urban Utilities Water Main Relocation at Murphy’s Creek Rd, Postman Ridge, for the Rocky Creek Bridge Replacement. The project consisted of 4 Auger bored road crossings, 550 meters of reticulation and trunk main, multiple live connections and the added challenge of an open trench through a live waterway in a very environmentally challenging environment (Protected koala zone, endangered native species and a high-risk creek for fisheries purposes). If that wasn’t enough, parts of the old bridge and roadway were heritage listed and the creek itself was prone to flash flooding putting QCE under intense pressure getting the work completed quickly and efficiently.

Bullet points on achievement

  • 550m of water main and trunk replacement
  • 8 live connections
  • 4 Road crossings
  • Open trench through live water way
