QLD Civil Engineering was the principal contractor for the Urban Utilities Watermain Relocation for BCC’s  Gresham Street Bridge Replacement early 2021. The project involved relocating various sized water mains on Waterworks Rd and Gresham Street, a heavily congested major road with multiple critical services in the ground. The project additionally involved a 180m Horizontal Directional Drill in extremely hard rock making the progress . Extreme rainfall and construction sites adjacent to a creek created additional environmental challenges. With an obtrude and noisy construction in a sensitive community one of the key challenges was community and stakeholder interactions.  QLD Civil Engineering received good feedback from the client throughout the project duration. Councillor for the Gap Ward visited the projects throughout the duration and gave good feedback on how QCE was handling the community challenges throughout.
